Entry to Campground

Camp Skyland is ideally situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake Champlain Islands in South Hero, VT. Skyland is a 6 acre family owned and operated campground offering camping sites and cabins on the shores of Lake Champlain. You can enjoy an unending panoramic view of the bay, lake and mountains beyond from most spots in the campground. Over the past 90+ years, we have acquired the reputation for providing a setting for unforgettable family experiences.

Our 2023 Season will begin Memorial Day Weekend and we will remain open through September 23, 2023. We look forward to you vacationing at Camp Skyland this summer for our 96th season! All of our sites have wonderful panoramic lakeside views, but call early to get your preferred site. Details and rates are located at the bottom of the Camping/ Cabin pages.

As our guest, you’ll appreciate the convenience of our private lakefront for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and small watercraft access. In nearby South Hero are a wide variety of local restaurants, markets and shops as well as some options for a chance to explore historic Grand Isle. Easy access to the Interstate allows for longer excursions to Vermont’s many attractions such as hiking, biking, shopping and dining.

To help us maintain our relaxing atmosphere for everyone, there are no pets allowed. At this time we cannot accomodate RV’s larger than 22 feet on an overnight basis. Our larger 3-way sites are currently all rented seasonally, please call for inquiries; we do have a waiting list for seasonal sites. Limited boat docks and lifts are for seasonal campers only, no short term mooring or docking available.

Please call (802) 372-4200 for more information or to make your reservation. Calling Hours: 9am-8pm. Business Office Hours: 9am-12pm; 2pm-6pm. Office is open til 8pm on weekends and as needed. Off season office hours: 12pm-8pm. We do not offer online booking at this time.
