Cliffside Cabins

All eight of our rustic Cliffside Cabins provide unspoiled views of Lake Champlain from a screened sitting porch. Depending on the unit, these cabins sleep from 2-4 guests; all have a double or queen bed and some have additional twin or bunk beds. These charming cabins each include a private toilet, shower, and sink. Bed linens, pillows, washcloths and face towels are provided. However, you should bring your favorite bath and beach towels. Small dressers, hanging and shelf space are available for your personal belongings.

All of these cabins are approximately the same size and layout. A small refrigerator and dual burner hotplate, dishpan & drying rack are supplied to facilitate simple meals; please bring your own cooking supplies, utensils, pots and dishes. The cabins have power, but the only screen we provide is the one on the screen porch and windows to keep the bugs out while watching the lake.

In breezy weather, the cabins have excellent cross-ventilation. If you are expecting to stay during hot weather, you may want to bring a box or table top fan.

We are required by law to only have as many people in the cabins as we have beds. Please keep this in mind when reserving and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. In order to accommodate as many guests as possible, cabin stays of less than a week may be moved to other similar cabins as needed without prior notice.

The 2023 weekly rental fee for a Cliffside Cabin is $700, (plus 9% state tax and reservation fees) They rent from 4 pm check-in on Saturday afternoon to checkout at 10am Saturday. Shorter stays with a two night minimum, early and late season, allowed if available ($120/ nightly plus taxes and fees). Cleaning fee of $50 will apply to any stays of less than a week. Cliffside Cabins share a communal fire pit and picnic area at the top of the row,  next to Cabin 8. The view from the cliff is outstanding, and a great place to end your evening with new and old friends, watching the sun set over the lake. You may want to bring your own folding chair to better enjoy the fire!

Cliffside 8 is the largest and most popular Cliffside Cabin, and also books the fastest. The panoramic view is outstanding and allows a fabulous start and end to your day from sunrise to sunset! Cliffside 8 sleeps 3 with a queen bed and single bed. It is next to the group picnic area, so it might not be desirable for those who prefer early bedtimes.

Cliffside 7 Front

Cliffside 3 below is typical of our cabins that sleep 3. This includes  Cliffside 3,7,8. A double bed and single bed allow the cabin to sleep 3. The screened porch overlooks the lake and Vermont’s Green Mountains, and has a sitting area and table. Small refrigerator (with tiny freezer), hotplate and metal table work for simple meals; you will need to bring any kitchen supplies you plan to use. There are areas for hanging dry clothes inside, and wet clothes outside on the laundry lines. Shelves and bureaus provide storage for any items you bring along!

Bedding complete with blankets and pillows are provided. You may want to bring box fans for the hotter months.

Cliffside 1 & 2  are on the left end of the cabin row. These have been updated to have queen sized beds. Table & Chairs for 2 on the screen porch for coffee or evening drinks is  wonderful!

• Cliffside cabins are 1 room rustic cabins, with screen porches overlooking the lake.
• Private shower, toilet, sink.
• Bedding (pillows, blankets, sheets) provided & placed in bureau drawers.
• Hand towels and washcloths provided.
• No larger bath towels usually provided, please bring your own.
• Sitting area in screen room with table and chairs.
• Power & water in cabins. Parking near each cabin.
• Small refrigerator, 2 burner hotplate, dish drainer, dish pan provided; no dishes or pots/pans. Please bring what you need.
• Cliffside cabins sleep 2-4 people, with different bedding options. Please let us know how many people you have as we cannot have more people than beds in the rooms.
  • Cliffside 1 & 2: Queen bed (sleeps 2)
  • Cliffside 3 & 7: Double/full bed, and single bed (sleeps 3)
  • Cliffside 4, 5, 6: Double/full bed, and single bunk beds (sleeps 4)
  • Cliffside 8: Queen bed and single bed (sleeps 3)
• Since our cabins are not insulated, Spring/fall guests may want to bring extra blankets. Summer guests may want to bring fans. Extra blankets available at office upon request.
• Cliffside cabins share a community fire pit and picnic area next to Cliffside 8.
• If you have special travel needs, we do have limited bath towels available for guest use.
• Basic kitchen cooking tote (includes coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, utensils) available to rent for $40/week.

CABIN CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:

• Check-in time: 4 pm – 8pm, Check-out time: 10 am. 
• Upon arrival, please check in to register, confirm cabin, and pay any balance due.
  • Balance Due: US Cash, Check or Credit/Debit cards accepted.
  • Checks must be made made out to Camp Skyland, LLC, payable in US funds.
  • A discount will be available for balances paid in cash.
• Late Arrivals: Please call us to arrange a late arrival if you expect to be checking in after 8 pm. Skyland becomes very dark after sunset and our cabins can be difficult to find in the dark, particularly for first time guests. Please let us know that you will be a late arrival so we can make proper arrangements for check-in.
• No-Shows: If you don’t arrive or call before noon the day after your scheduled arrival, the remainder of your stay may be cancelled; no show with no call = no refunds, no transfers.
• Specific cabin is subject to change without notice at discretion of management, particularly on stays of less than a week. While we do our best to accommodate your cabin selection, we may need to move you due to cabin conditions, to accomodate more guests, groups, etc.

CABIN DEPOSIT POLICY:  Please note that we have updated our Deposit, Transfer and Cancellation policy. Please read below for the new policies.

• For current season stays of 1-4 nights, full payment is due to confirm the reservation.
• If making any reservation of any length within 7 days of arrival, full, non-refundable payment must be made to secure the reservation.
• All other stays, 2 nights deposit per week or less is required. $275 Cliffside, $325 Housekeeping.
• Balance is due upon check-in, before receiving key.
• Reservation is not guaranteed until deposit is paid.
• Cabins can be reserved for the same week the following year, prior to departure.

Cabin Cancellations/Transfers:

• First night deposit for any stay is non-refundable
• Cabin cancellations within 60 days, no deposit refund, no transfer
• Greater than 60 days notice: transfer within season as available, or deposit refund, less each week’s first night
• Only one transfer per reservation will be considered
• No transfers/refunds granted due to weather, illness, early departure or other 
• Transfers only available during same year; no year to year deposit transfer

SORRY, NO PETS ALLOWED ON CAMPSITES, IN TRAILERS OR IN CABINS.
